Sunstrike Evolves by Droemar Sunstrike Evolves by Droemar
I don't know if any of you have seen the Natural History Museum dinosaur plushes, but I got one of little teeny ones at the Austin zoo. He's absolutely adorable. He sits with me at my computer and when I'm editing my manuscript. I'm very weird about stuffed animals. (Buying the little one made me order the 14-inch one online, but I was very disappointed by him. He was lumpy in the face and not at all cute.) So, I still have that dinosaur story in the far back of my head, and played eround with the idea of Sunstrike being a droemeasaur (a veloci- or utahraptor, or a deinonychus.) Incidentally, if any wonder, that is where my online name comes from. I LOVE dinosaurs!

I drew this completely freehand, with that gestural building technique I used to draw Fen. It turned out very, very good in my opinion. I went for cel-shaded cause I hadn't done it in a while.

The background, incidentally, is not mine. I humbly sire my source at: [link]

I thought I subconsciously recognized the markings of this creature. I bought a small Utahraptor plushie for my friend from the Natural History Museum in London. ^..^ They're most adorable - and so is your depiction of them.

Very cool. I love the shading :D Tho the background looks like it's been taken from a screenshot of a movie (like the lion king or something). If it has I suggest u give credit to the source of the image or u could get into a bit of strife over it ^^ I don't want to come across as being mean, but I'd hate to see an artist as good as urself get into trouble over it :)

Oh god that's freakin' ADORABLE!! I love dromaeosaurids with a passion, especially Deinonychus. My only suggestion for your drawing is to turn his wrists more so that the 'palms' of the hands face more inward (silly anatomical mistake of paleo-reconstructionists when raptors were first discovered, they accidentally twisted their wrists so the hands were held in a kangaroo-like position).

Oh. Cool. I really need to update my dino library; the last book I bought was back in 96. And things keep chnging in paleoscience.

Lesse ... the little buggers were hard for me to find online. Try [link], that's where I ordered the 14-inch dino from. Or Google 'Dinosauria plush'.

Prolly the best Dinosaur drawing I have seen in THREE years. And that's saying a lot, cause the person who drew the last pic I liked was a 6th grader, and now that I think of it, he SUCKED! But I love this! ^^ *clicks fav button!*

Dinosaurs are incredibly awesome creatures. I don't have the knack for drawing them that you do.
Great work.
