More freelance work for the SHARD book. I only have six more mammals to go! Woo!
My favorite is the raccoon guy. I work from pictures to choose my pose, and the raccoon was actually panting in a river. He just ended up really perfect for the painting.
The skunk was one of those rare drawings that fell out my pencil, so I was expecting her to be a quick painting. She took about twice as long as the other two, damn her. The fact that she was first drawn with her hands behind her didn't help.
Squirrel chick just looks hot. I love red squirrels because of their ears. One of the things I like about doing these is that I'm given a general species, but I can choose whatever subspecies I like.
