Final: Accipta Ravenbane

Man, this was a hard drawing. 26 hours, the longest one to date, I think. First off, her pose was extremely difficult; I could find no reference for the pose I had in my head so I had to go it alone. Second, bird anthros make for very difficult physiology. I think, in all honestly, for them to operate correctly, they would have to have a secondary ball-and-socket joint on their scapula. With that in mind, I took a deep breath and picked up my pencil.
Her wings are not fully folded, they're about a little less than halfway. Any bird has to be able to fold their wings completely and properly or it's no use. So I figure, for a bird (ferin, to use my anthro term), their entire backside has to be dedicated to holding those wings. It's very difficult, and I had only drawn one or two full-body shots of bird anthros before this. Which in hindsight, proved a mistake because I had to stumble through it on the big kahula drawing.
Anyhoo, Accipta is one of my favorite characters, right next to Nash. She looks badass and can fight even more badass, but she is very timid at heart, a mistreated slave. Definitely on of the mor sympathetic characters of the book, even though you wouldn't know it by looking at her.
